Date: Mon, 21 Jul 1997 Hi everyone, My name is Vera, and I currently live in the Chicago area. I'm a 2nd old server, growth, passion mode, spiritualist, self-dep, moving part of intellectual center with a priest essence twin. Pretty far skewed to the inspiration axis. :) I have two kids, a 6-year old son who is a 5th mature artisan and a Lego-maniac, and a 4-year old daughter who is a 6th old scholar, and, yes, she does act like she knows it all. I came to these teachings during one of many personal crises about eleven years ago (married to a 6th mature sage, apparently "'crisis" is their middle name), and they have helped me enormously to understand the larger picture of why things happen. I had the overleaves of my whole family channeled so I could get a better grip on why they tick the way the way they do, and I try and apply what I learn to the small, everyday stuff. It's wonderful meeting all of you! I'm looking forward to some interesting discussions. Vera S. Martin Subject: Inquiry re channeling Michael I'd like to ask some questions from people on this list who have channeled Michael. Just yesterday I was rereading that Michael will come through anyone who asks for it. I imagine a number of you have tried it. Please tell me more about this. Also, what is this that Seth is part of the Michael entity or cadre or something? I have yet to read any Michael material beyond the first two books, so I'd like to hear what you guys know about all this. I for one have never tried to channel, and have yet to develop a group of local contacts who want to get involved in this sort of thing. If others of you also have this question in mind, please speak up so respondants can post their comments to the list. Dear Aida, There are two basic ways to obtain information from non-physical beings. There are also several degrees of combining the above two modes: some involving the use of pendulums or Ouija and some in which the channeler remains conscious and just steps slightly aside and lets the entity use parts of his/her body. Note that Ouija means yesyes in French and German. It is recommended by myself and many others who channel that you take conscious steps to protect yourself and the received information from the effects of mischievous and sometimes malicious beings from the lower astral levels of existence who would like to deceive and/or use unwary humans. Just because a consciousness unit doesn't have a physical body; that does not make them any smarter or wiser or more honest or more perceptive than you are. Anybody can contact anybody. But not every entity is willing to "channel" itself/themselves through a human body. This latter process requires a much much deeper and longer preparation and attunement between the participants. Not to mention a lot more energy. Plus it would seem to be boring since you are not a participant and must wait until after the channeling session to hear what you yourself have channeled. The main stumbling blocks to conscious non-physical contact is "lack of confidence", "being judgemental" and "inability to listen with a quiet mind". In first contacting Michael I purified myself and my task and asked that "Michael of the Overleaves" come into my consciousness, if they would. When they did, it was not with words, but with a definite presence in my consciousness that was not there before. You may find that as you begin to make more and more non-physical contacts that each contact source has its own distinct "feel" regardless of what their name is or isn't. The above is just the tip of a large and beautiful iceberg. I expect that you'll get other list members writing about their own observations and experiences. I feel that the prime reason for learning to channel is to become easily and intimately familiar with the higher aspects of your own Wonderfully Magnificent Self.
I just now checked with Seth and he/she/it said that "...indeed I am a part of that most wonderful and glorious entity family of equals". Seth gives off an extremely powerful and humorous presence. Seth channelled via "Rupert" aka Jane Roberts. I just now talked with him just as I would talk with you. You can do it alone or with others. But it's more fun and educational when done with others of like mind. I am really interested in hearing what other list-mates have to share about their channeling experiences. Hi! It's true that Michael will come to anyone who asks for them, but for people who don't trust their ability to perceive, it's hard to recognize Michael. I had a hard time at first before I took a class on channeling Michael. Afterwards, I realized that I had channeled all my life, I just didn't recognize how the intellectual words that describe channeling connected to what it really felt like to channel. It was just a matter of discernment and trusting myself.
JP has channeled Michael saying that Seth is another entity within their cadre. :) Love Lori
