<ShepherdHoodwin> Last night, I channeled a new Perspectives that I haven't
yet emailed to my list but I thought it might be relevant, so I'll paste it
below.
<ShepherdHoodwin> HEALING THE MASS
CONSCIOUSNESS
<ShepherdHoodwin> Sometimes, you are mostly in your own sphere, feeling your
own feelings. However, a large part of the time, the feelings and energies of
other people wash into your sphere to some degree.
The amount varies from person to person. Some are designed to attract the
energies of others so as to offer healing to them. This is often true of those
who are highly sensitive--the sensitivity is part of that design. It can be
overwhelming before it is mastered.
The spiritual path is about discovering your own power to transform whatever
is in your space, whether it is just your own energies or those of humanity as
a whole--the mass consciousness--or, most frequently, something in between.
Regardless, since you are an inseparable part of the whole, the work you do
within your own sphere has an impact on the whole. Not only do other energies
wash in, but yours wash out. As you impact those energies with love, truth,
and beauty, you offer healing to the whole.
<ShepherdHoodwin> We have a wonderful group tonight. Let's imagine that we're
in the same physical room standing in a circle holding hands with our eyes
closed, breathing deeply. Feel the group energy.
Allow yourself to fully ground, relax, and be present.
<ShepherdHoodwin> MICHAEL: There is,
among many of you, a greater well-being and free movement than since the last
chat through Shepherd.
Such things are cyclical to some degree. No doubt many are relieved by
the recent U.S. election. However, there is more to it than that. There
is a veil lifting, a density releasing, that reflects internal growth
collectively.
Some of you have been discussing
The Secret, a film about
the power each one has to create his/her life through magnetization. This is not the cause of the veil lifting, but an effect:
you are reminding yourselves of the power of consciousness.
"In the beginning was the Word," or consciousness.
Everything boils down to consciousness. It is not just your conscious thoughts that create your
reality, but the sum total of your consciousness, including the feelings
you're aware of and those you aren't. However, we do not imply that you "should" judge your
consciousness if you aren't in bliss all the time. That's not really the
point. Simply observing your thoughts and feelings, as best you are
able, and seeing how they are reflected in your outer world, is the beginning
of taking control.
Consciousness is never "perfect" in the sense of being the
ultimate. It is always evolving as the universe as a whole evolves. There is always the opportunity to fine-tune consciousness
in various ways. There is a balance to be found as you align your thinking,
feeling, and action with truth, love, and beauty. On the one hand, these quintessential energies do not stamp
down their less elevated manifestations--they raise them up. So in taking responsibility for creating one's reality,
there is a sort of alchemy as the higher heals the lower. It isn't
instantaneous. It isn't "Put on a happy face and have a good attitude, no
matter what you feel, goddammit!" It is a gentle process. On the other hand, there *is* sometimes hard work to be
done, facing the mirror and making changes in ways of being that may be deeply
entrenched. The greater the willingness one has to examine self and allow
changes, the better one's results will be.
Beginning to face our limiting beliefs and ways of being can
be quite difficult. We may feel like we've lost our moorings. Quickly, however, it gets easier. The fast track to spiritual growth is to allow every
assumption we have about life to be up for grabs. It is not so much that we wallow in self-doubt but that we
learn to live in a quiet place that is beyond beliefs and assumptions,
anchored in the infinite and eternal. We no longer need to "be right" about our beliefs. Although
we may have a rather high degree of confidence in many of them, having already
tested them well, our sense of self doesn't depend upon them. We are willing to try on others for size. We are anchored in eternal truths and let the temporal
"dance" around us.
One of the kinds of beliefs that we can let go of is
limiting ideas about what we're capable of doing or being. Anything is
possible. Another is about what can and cannot be healed or changed. Although it's good to use common sense and to not have rigid
expectations, it's also good to stay open to anything.
Are there any questions or comments about this topic? (Dave,
you can open the floor.)
<CarrotWax> I'm wondering how this ties in to the Perspectives you wrote
earlier, about some attracting the energy of others and healing the mass
consciousness.
<ShepherdHoodwin> One major way, Carrotwax, that the heaviness in the mass
consciousness is removed is by individuals such as yourselves confronting the
beliefs they contain and choosing instead a higher truth; in superimposing the
higher vibration upon the lower, there is a creative tension that gives the
lower a chance to shift.
<Jyoti_Shah> I feel regular meditation can help us bring about this gentle
process, first of personal change and shift of attitude towards the positive
and then through our own energy fields to those we come in contact with.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Jyoti, in meditation, there is the opportunity to directly
experience love, truth, and beauty through your essence.
<ladybroker> I can see limiting beliefs that others have. Why can I not see my
own limiting beliefs?
<ShepherdHoodwin> Ladybroker, it is harder to see your own blind spots but the
first step is to assume that they are there. Then, you might ask for feedback
from others who don't have an agenda, who seem pretty objective.
<KingCastSageSusan343> It can be said; that one soul vibrating at 1,000 can
hold the space of a million.
<ShepherdHoodwin> KingCast, we agree that a higher, clearer vibration rings
forth far more powerfully than a dull thud.
<Jyoti_Shah> Yes SH, there is and I have begun to feel that it does influence
those around you.
<CarrotWax> Yes, I'm beginning to see that every time I'm overwhelmed by an
over flux of other's energies, it's because there's a belief/pattern that is
calling to be let go or expanded.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Carrotwax, the feeling of overwhelm can certainly be partly
in the way that others' negativity resonates with your own. However, even if you're pretty clear, strong negativity can
throw one temporarily off balance. Whether you're dealing with your own
personal issues or those of others, the approach can be the same: align with
truth, love and beauty.
<TzM> What is the difference between attracting negative energies because you
are resonating at a low frequency, and attracting negative energies because
you are resonating at a high frequency and they are coming to you to be
healed? Is there a difference? How can one tell?
<ShepherdHoodwin> TzM, attracting negative energies because you are resonating
at a low frequency suggests that you are immersed in negativity and are not
interested, at least at the moment, in changing. What you attract just
increases your wallowing. Like a belligerent drunk in a bar picking a fight
with another belligerent drunk. Things go downhill. Attracting negative energies because you are resonating at a
high frequency and they are coming to you to be healed, you immediately feel a
tension, a discrepancy--you're not comfortable with the unpleasant energies
and you are motivated to do what you can to assert higher consciousness, to
bring change.
<TzM> Thank you, yes, that clarifies it beautifully.
<zandra> How do you get someone to feel just an inkling of these vibration when
he has never felt a connection with anything before, consistency then however many years it takes.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Zandra, you can't get another person to feel energies. However, discernment can be taught to those who are willing
to listen, to compare and contrast.
<Caz> Michael, how are you defining "beauty" in advising to align with truth,
love, and beauty?
<ShepherdHoodwin> Caz, love, truth, and beauty (aka energy) are the three
essential forces by which the Tao manifests in the universe. Beauty here refers to pure life force that generates, for
example, the beauty of nature.
<TzM> Would truth love and beauty correspond to the Kabbalistic ideas of Chesed (lovingkindness), Gevurah
(boundaries, strength, discipline), and Tiferet (harmony: the integration of Gevura )?
<ShepherdHoodwin> Yes, Chesed (lovingkindness), Gevurah (boundaries, strength, discipline),
and Tiferet (harmony: the integration of Gevura ) sound like the same thing.
<Jyoti_Shah> Attracting the negative energies of others around you are like
challenging yourself to overwhelm their negativities with your higher
resonating energies
<ShepherdHoodwin> Jyoti, "Attracting the negative energies of others around
you are like challenging yourself to overwhelm their negativities with your
higher resonating energies." "Overwhelm" may not be the most apt word. It
happens more gently than that. Perhaps "transform" or "transmute" are better
words.
<Jyoti_Shah> Yes transmute is the right word indeed. Discernment also means allowing those who
don't wish to be healed
to be left to themselves until they are ready.
<mark_townley> You have defined beauty, I understand love as agape. Michael,
how do you define Truth?
<ShepherdHoodwin> Truth is the container for love and beauty, the design that
allows the others to manifest. It is the shape, the vision, the mind aspect of
creation.
Take a quiet moment now to notice the group energy. Would anyone like to share your perceptions?
<Jyoti_Shah> Yes. Have felt this group energy since the beginning of this
chat, its a great feeling of tingling I feel around my head and neck.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Jyoti, see if you can draw it down to your feet.
<Elisa17> it seems stronger, but a little unstable or chaotic.
<mark_townley> the energy is very strong, very serene.
<TzM> It feels calm yet lively...like we are all present and awake and alert,
but serene.
<Visitor45467> It feels even steadier and more focused now, as though we are
all in the same rhythm
<Marjorie> I feel love and peace and see nothing but white light when I close
my eyes.
<DaveGregg> I was going to say the same thing, Elisa: chaotic. But I'm a
structure craving Artisan. ;-)
<Elisa17> And it could just be me being despotic ;-)
<ShepherdHoodwin> People often seek certainty through their beliefs; then,
they become upset when those beliefs are challenged. But in this energy is the
true certainty, the certainty of the eternal forces of truth, love, and
beauty.
<TzM> Feels deeper and more stable to me now, since the question was asked.
<Jyoti_Shah> Feel an unusual but powerful connectedness today.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Dave, imagine that you are creating order out of the chaos;
that's an artisan specialty. See if your perception changes then.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Since a theme tonight is creating your own reality, notice
how the energy feels to you and if you'd like to shift it upwards, concentrate
on what you'd like that to be. See what occurs. Any comments on this?
<zandra> I feel lighter.
<Marjorie> Sometimes I feel scared the closer I come to something so big. It
is hard to explain. It holds me back.
<redhead_gingerbread> For some reason I don't feel as heavy. It's like a wet
coat has been taken off of me.
<Elo-Maria> I feel some lightness tonight, what I haven't felt before.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Marjorie, this is the fear of the unknown. It's quite
common. Just focus on the joy you wish to experience. Ask it to carry you over
the fear. One good technique to use here for everyone is to hold a
vision that everything around you that inhibits your spiritual freedom is
releasing and disappearing.
<karencaplan> my fear is that the reality I am creating is unrealistic! I
guess that brings me back to the assumptions I have.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Karencap, when you are working in consciousness, as in
meditation, what is "realistic" is not relevant. The question is whether it works to bring you into greater
alignment with truth, love, and beauty. That is the ultimate realism. The goal is to allow your energy field to be all it can be.
How you later manifest that is up to you.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Dave, what's your experience relative to the perception of
chaos? We would say that the energy is very active tonight; activity suggests
some chaos. But there is also a sense in that that changes can occur.
<DaveGregg> You mean: has it changed?
<ShepherdHoodwin> Yes.
<DaveGregg> I stopped tuning in, mostly. It felt like the room wasn't blending
together well. And I got sidetracked by following the conversations.
<guest> I agree.
<KingCastSageSusan343> You create order out of chaos, and, chaos out of lack
of order --therefore if you don't want chaos, don't tune into that frequency.
<DaveGregg> I don't mean chaos in a negative sense, Susan.
<John_Marmaro> Dave, I understood you perfectly.
<DaveGregg> What I sense is more dissonance. Not the usual harmonious blend.
It's like chordal clusters of major seconds. Not a negative feeling, just
different.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Dave, we like your
musical analogy here. Think of this as modern music that may not resolve as
quickly as more classical forms. It *will* resolve, though.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Again, we invite each of you to tune in to the group as a
whole. What do you perceive? We find it to be coherent but more lively than usual. Sometimes, the ultimate creation of the energy work is
peace. Tonight, so far, it is creating dynamism. Would you agree?
<zandra> Yes it is electric
<Elisa17> I'm feeling the dynamism, yes.
<Kathryn41> I can liken the energy to the image of the sun - a large central
ball of energy with these flaming solar flares that leap off into the universe
every so often - the whole of it dynamic and in motion.
<Jyoti_Shah> Dynamism towards self growth.
<susantheoboist> Well, I feel better and calmer than when I first logged on.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Dynamism has more dissonance. As you say, not necessarily
negative--it can just provoke movement. One belief in this energy is, "I *can* change the world I
inhabit!" One's ability to
change externals depends both on your own clarity and on the openness of
others.
You can sense that
there is more openness around you; hence, a surge of energy within you to have
a dynamic impact.
<laughingboi> I am always looking for practical applications, so I am thinking
about the idealism...and yet...thinking of ways to make the lesson really work
in this world of seemingly constant disfunction.
<zandra> I feel like that alot but find it hard to put into action.
<Jyoti_Shah> We can all help to change the world we inhabit with the energy we
are all feeling at the moment. Openness and acceptance of others as they really are, without
forcing them to change.
<John_Marmaro> It seems like many of questions and comments are, though
perhaps valid at some other time or in a private reading, distracting us from
the questions we have prepared. I hope this is not more dissonance!
<ShepherdHoodwin> John Marmaro, we
never begin these evenings with an agenda. We show up and see what all of us
together will co-create. There is never a promise relative to Q&As. Sometimes,
we do a lot of them, sometimes few or none. But so far, this has been a
fascinating session.
<John_Marmaro> The chide is acknowledged...
<mark_townley> I don't really sense the chaos except perhaps as part of a
greater whole.
<Elo-Maria> I don't sense the chaos either, but I sense movement.
<Elisa17> it feels like a windy day - exhausting.
<ShepherdHoodwin>
Often, new age/spiritual work is associated with peace and quiet, and often,
that is what is most needed to bring balance. However, sometimes the work is
more active. Action has been suppressed for many months, because not much was
possible. Now, there is an opening to move, and you are taking advantage of
it. It's all good. Thank you for your comment, John.
Let's now focus on
just one of the primary energies: love. Ask your essence to align you with
love as it emanates in it's pure form from the Tao. Let it fill you to
overflowing. Love, truth, and beauty are often spoken of together. Examine the
love force. What is it like?
<Jyoti_Shah> It feels like a deep connectedness with nature and all creation
<zandra> It is all one
<karencaplan> Light. Luminous.
<laughingboi> Great care and understanding.
<TzM> It feels like melting, like total relaxation.
<Kathryn41> Absolute connection, absolute intimacy.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Your loveliest ideas
of being in love, purified of human personality, and then squared.
<Jyoti_Shah> Like feeling a swirling energy of love and light around you.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Now ask your essence to fill you with the force of beauty,
or pure energy. Think of the majesty of nature, or the magnificence of the
design of bodies. Feel the life force that animates all living things on the
physical plane. What is beauty like for you?
<CarrotWax> A grand dance.
<DaveGregg> Beauty is seeing the truth in all things.
<SusieQ> The piercing eyes of mountains.
<Jyoti_Shah> Harmony in everything like a the music of an orchestra.
<zandra> Like an never ending ocean of happiness and love.
<TzM> For me Love is like total flowing relaxation and acceptance, Truth is
like active, dynamic, creative tension or structure, and Beauty is the
resulting creation, whether in singing, dance, a tree, a cloud....
<Kathryn41> Power and a sense of interconnectedness - that it sings. All things sing together.
<Jyoti_Shah> And dance together with synchronicity.
<zandra> Freedom to fly amongst it.
<ShepherdHoodwin> We saved truth for last, because some of you associate it
with "harsh truth" or "unpleasant truth" or "an inconvenient truth." Instead,
consider truth as what is, without judgment. See if you can remove human personality from your vision of
truth and connect with it as a pure universal force. Truth is the vision of the Tao, for example, of the seven
planes, or a healthy planet, or a well-functioning body. It is how things
work--the patterns.
<mark_townley> So truth binds love and beauty together and provides coherence?
<ShepherdHoodwin> Truth is more of the higher intellectual center; facts are
more of the intellectual center. Both, of course, are needed. Truth allows love to manifest as beauty. Truth is higher
mind. In humans, it manifests as wisdom. Ask your essence to connect directly to the truth force and
see what you experience. It's always good work to go for directly experience rather
than just talking about such things. What do you feel?
<zandra> It is still telling me accept all that is and it shows truth.
<barbl> Truth is way deep inside allowing me to experience infinity.
<karencaplan> A full heart.
<SusieQ> And a clear heart.
<Silver_Surfer> Truth + Experience = Wisdom.
<ShepherdHoodwin> Truth grounds love; they cannot exist without each other in
the dimensional universe. Love without truth isn't love; truth without love
isn't truth.
Now ask your essence to give you a direct experience of
love, truth, and beauty perfectly woven together for you to bring the greatest
awareness available to you. What is your experience of that?
<laughingboi> A scoop of ice cream.
<Jyoti_Shah> Seeing perfection in everything.
<SusieQ> The canvas upon which we paint our lives.
<barbl> Looking at the stars and being able to see through them to the other
side - Awesome experience!
<Jyoti_Shah> Seeing perfection despite the chaos!
<zandra> Feeling everything as it is. All of what we cannot see but we
can feel.
<Cerridwen> Dancing with my heart, my soul, my life.
<pauli> Freedom and seeing the perfection in everything.
<ShepherdHoodwin> All the details of your lives are important but it is easy
to lose sight of the bigger picture--that we are each eternal beings learning
how to more effectively manifest love, truth and beauty. You are the sculptor stepping back to observe your creation
and seeing how it measures up to the elemental forces pouring through you. Then, you can again approach the stone and know exactly
where your next cut should be. If you don't occasionally step back, you lose perspective.
Tonight has been about that largest perspective. We will be glad to answer your more specific questions next
time. There is a rhythm in life, stepping closer and then stepping
back--both are needed. Step back one last time and sense the energy. It is still active--there is a sense of power. But you might also notice a greater sense of peace emerging. Peace and power sharing the same space is an indication that
balance has been reached. Watch that equilibrium establish itself within you. Let us know when you feel that "click in to place."
<Jyoti_Shah> It feels like " all is right as it is"
<mark_townley> Yes.
<Visitor21960> I do.
<zandra> My energy runs all over the world when I step back.
<karencaplan> Yes.
<barbl> Definitely.
<ShepherdHoodwin> We do not control the energy work or how these evenings
proceed. It is a collective creation of all of us. For any of you who work with energy: the energy itself tells
you when it is complete. One clue is when it reaches equilibrium. Feel now the group energy finding its equilibrium, powerful
yet calm. Take note of the group energy now--it just found its
equilibrium. Can you feel that?
<Kathryn41> Yes.
<Elo-Maria> Yes.
<ShepherdHoodwin> We will conclude now. Love and blessings to each of you.
Good-night.
<zandra> Good nite & thank you.
<Kathryn41> Thank you Michael and thank you Shepherd.
<mark_townley> Thank you Michael & Shepherd.
<Mer> Good night and thank you Shepherd and Michael!
<LoriLisa> Thanks so much, Shepherd and Michael, and all.
<barbl> Thank you Shepherd and Michael.
<Elo-Maria> Thank you, all!
<TzM> Blessings and thanks to Michael and Shepherd and Dave and everyone here.
<JohnRoth> Thank you Shephard.
<Marjorie> Peace and love to all...what a gift Michael. Thank you.
<karencaplan> Thank you everyone for creating this space.
<SusieQ> Lovely! Many thanks.
<ShepherdHoodwin> This is really a great group of people. The caliber of the
people determines what can happen both verbally and energetically.
