Bio:
I was born and raised in Southington, Connecticut. I
have 3 children, Kendra, Corey and Celia who are the
very reason I live and breathe. I have been dedicated
to being a full-time mother since I decided to become a
mother, although at times that can be very unfulfilling.
I was widowed at the age of 25, pregnant with my 2nd
child while my first child was not even 2. This was a
big motivator in my life to start seeking for some
"bigger picture." And thus began my spiritual journey
in this life. I started reading all sorts of books,
talking with people who had what I wanted spiritually
and trying many forms of "new age" stuff.
I am a perpetual student who loves to learn not just for
a degree but for the mere pleasure of learning. I have
my A.S. in Drug and Alcohol Counseling and my B.A. with
a Concentration in Psychology and Counseling. I am
destined for my M.A. and more than likely my Ph.D
ultimately. I am currently a Shift Counselor at a
Substance Abuse Treatment facility that houses women and
their children. However, I am looking to pursue a
career in the education system, more than likely
starting by working as a Paraprofessional with
Developmentally Challenged Children. My true desire is
to ultimately work with troubled or at-risk teens and I
know that I will eventually go where I am supposed to
go.
My s/o and I would like to someday buy a boat, put our
Harley-Davidson on it and live our lives traveling and
seeing the world via the waterways.
I seek only one thing; to be happy and content in this
world that is sometimes very frustrating to live in!
How I Found the
Teachings: Through my first serious relationship after my
husband died. As I said, I was seeking, trying to
understand a life that made no sense to me, and he
introduced me to the Michael books by Yarbro. I have
dabbled on and off with the teachings since 1995 and now
that I found the Michael Teachings group, I hope to
continue to learn and evolve from it.
