Bio:
Hi,
I was born in Akron, Ohio. I am of primarily German/Scottish descent. I have lived in CA for 31 years.
I love to read, am a procrastinator, but always get the deed done under the wire.
I live with my sister and her young adult offspring, which is where my major lessons in patience lay/lie(?). The other lessons in acceptance/patience and loss are taught by my many cats and 2 dogs. You can't change or argue with a cat!
I first read the Michael Material way back in the early 80's. I have read the Tarot since I was 14. I have a very ecclectic spiritual/philisophical belief system. I'm not afraid of death, but my emotional center goes into overdrive when I see pain or suffering in others, animal, vegetable or mineral. I try to keep the larger picture in mind but, of course, I don't always succeed.
I do marketing and merchandizing for a major food company and while I'll never get rich doing it, the job suits me better than most I've had.
How I found the Michael Teachings:
My Mother is a very spiritual person and a voracious reader. I inherited her "reading gene". Through the books she brought home, I was introduced to many things, atral projection, reincarnation astrology and numerology among them. She introduced me to the Tarot, and the Oija Board. We worked the Oija board together when I was a young teen. As a result of her influence, I am a regular at the local bookstore. I was drawn to the cover the the first Michael book which had a Oija board on the cover. I read the jacket and bought it. The Michael Teachings (or whatever you want to call them) resonated greatly within me and I read and reread the book trying to assimilate the information. I even wrote a paper and presentation using the material for a philosophy class when I was in college. I correlated Socrates' Cave analogy with the seven
soul ages. I got an A.
