Bio: I moved to
Georgia
early 2004 to marry another Michael student, Joe Bates,
completely changing my life along with my country!
Well, after all – I am in growth! (VBG).
Prior to my relocation, I worked as the Constituency
Assistant to the Member of Parliament for Chatham-Kent Essex,
Ontario after spending a productive 25 years as a Museum
professional. An illustrator and artist, I enjoy all sorts of
hobbies including living history re-enactments, any type of hand
crafts or related skills (needlework, sewing, basketmaking,
etc.), photography, horseback riding, and of course, reading.
Joe and I share our home with our 5 cats (who also moved
from
Ontario
) and lots and lots of books!
How I found the Michael Teachings:
I discovered the Michael Teachings when "Messages from Michael" and "More Messages from Michael" were first published. All of my life, I 'knew' much of what the teachings relate but did not have a frame work in which to put the knowledge. All of my seeking reinforced that 'something' was missing. When I discovered the Michael Teachings, all of the missing pieces materialized and everything fit. I wrote to the first Michael group at the time but received no responses. I figured 'ah well, I have been alone on this path all the time up to now; if that is how things must continue, then I will just continue walking my own path alone'. Nearly 2 years ago, when I gained access to the internet, I discovered the online community. I observed for a while, then made the decision to join - first with Trueview 2000, then with Michael Options, then Michael Teachings, and Gateway. It has felt like coming home:-). I have found my family here. I have since met a number of Michael students in person, including several entity and cadence mates, and look forward to meeting many more. I feel very much on the path that essence has chosen for this lifetime:-) and appreciate all the opportunitites to learn, to grow and to discover, both about myself and about all of us who share this journey.
